"I was born and raised here in Colorado. Actually a third generation native so my roots go way back with the history of the state. My family has always been very connected with the outdoors. Consequently I am most comfortable when I am enveloped by the natural world."

Good art explores and captures meaning. We love the beautiful painting of scenery or a touching image of a mother and child because it means something to us. Art celebrates this. Chris' work is an exploration between our lives and meaning. A window to hope if you will.

Normally we think of nature as being a nirvana. A place of quiet contemplation, rest and enlightenment. However we know this is not the whole picture. There is a great turmoil and decay in nature. A reformation of energy and the consumption of things which have come to rest.

Chris seeks to represent all these concepts in his work: beauty, decay, regeneration, meaning and hope.
